You already have your PADI open water licence?

Then continue with your diving education and go for a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course –  the best decision for even more diving fun.  You will develop your diving skills, gain more self-confidence in the water and learn to understand the underwater world even better.

As a certified PADI Open Water Diver you will be able to hone your diving skills to perfection by attending specialist diving courses.  The PADI Adventures in Diving program offers you two courses:

  • PADI Adventure Diver course
  • PADI Advanced Open Water course

Once you are a certified PADI Advanced Open Water Diver you can further qualify to become a Rescue Diver in two courses:

  • Emergency/First Response course
  • PADI Rescue Diver course

Possible Adventure Dives

With the PADI Adventure Diver course you will discover new adventures of diving and develop your skills in specific areas of interest

In this course fun and adventure come first: From over 15 Adventure Dives (see far right) you choose the three disciplines that you like the best… such as navigation, underwater photography, night diving, wreck diving, boat diving and many more.

After being certified as PADI Adventure Diver you can qualify with just two more Adventure Dives to become a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver – two of the five dives must be navigation and deep diving.

Conditions:

  • Must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization) and 15 years old (10 years for Junior Adventure Diver)
  • Number of dives: three free choice dives from all Adventure Dives

Course content:

  • 3 Theory lessons (online, self-study or classroom)
  • 3 Open water dives

Duration: 1-2 days

Move up and experience real adventures with the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver-Course. You will get to know the underwater world from a whole new perspective. Practical diving experience comes first in this course.

During five dives you have the opportunity to try some of diving’s most rewarding and useful specialty activities. The two compulsory Adventure Dives deep and underwater navigation will boost your confidence as you build foundational skills.

Then you choose three additional dives from more than 15 Adventure Dives to complete your course. Each Adventure Dive may also credit toward the first dive of the corresponding PADI Specialty Diver course.

These skills make diving much more than underwater sightseeing. Plus, the Advanced Open Water Diver course takes you one step closer to Master Scuba Diver – the ultimate non-professional certification in recreational diving.

Conditions:

  • Must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization) and 15 years old (12 for Junior Advanced Open Water Diver)
  • Number of dives: five dives; two compulsory dives navigation and deep diving and three free choice dives from all Adventure Dives

After completing the Advanced Open Water Diver course you qualify to go the next step and become a PADI Rescue Diver to look after the safety and well being of other divers. You will need to attend a First Aid Training, for example the Emergency First Response.

PADI Rescue Diver

he PADI Rescue Diver course will expand your knowledge and experience level immensely. Rescue divers learn to look beyond themselves and consider the safety and well-being of other divers. Although this course is challenging, it is a rewarding way to build a strong confidence. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. Many divers say this is the best course they’ve ever taken.

The PADI Rescue Diver-Course covers the following subjects:

  • Self-rescue and diver stress
  • Emergency management and equipment
  • Panicked diver response
  • In-water rescue breathing protocols
  • Egress (exits)
  • Dive accident scenarios

Prerequisite:

PADI (Junior) Advanced Open Water Divers from 12 years of age who have participated in the Adventure dive “Underwater Navigation” can register for a Rescue Diver course. You must also have completed training in Emergency First Response Primary Care and Secondary Care within the last 24 months. This training can take place during your Rescue Diver course. Your instructor may also offer to take part in the PADI Special Course Emergency Oxygen Provider at the same time by learning how to administer emergency oxygen.

  • Theory lessons(online, as self-study or in the classroom)
  • 10 exercises in the pool or limit open water
    2 scenarios

Duration: 2-3 days
